Wolfram Woehr

Wolfram Wöhr (born March 5, 1956 in Weißenstein ) is a German architect .

Life

After completing a degree in architecture at the University of Stuttgart from 1975 to 1983, during which he from 1980 to 1981 through a grant from the DAAD also at the University of Virginia was able to study in the US, he worked from 1984 to 1985 in York New architectural firm Gwathmey Siegel With. From 1985 to 1990 he was an employee and then an “associate partner” in the office of the New York star architect Richard Meier .

In 1990 he opened his first own office in Munich together with Ulrike Lauber ( lauber + wöhr ). From 1998 he ran the office himself under the name wolfram woehr architects . Just one year later he opened a second office in Stuttgart ( wma wöhr mieslinger architects ). In 1990 Gerold Heugenhauser came to the Munich office as a partner of Wöhr (which has now been renamed wwa wolfram wöhr architects und partner ). Another branch office was opened in Beijing that same year .

From 1990 to 1996, Wöhr taught housing construction as part of a teaching assignment at the University of Stuttgart within the field of building science and design headed by Prof. Peter Faller . For 2001/2002 he received a visiting professorship at the Biberach University of Applied Sciences for a master’s degree in architecture. Since 1999 Wöhr has been a regular guest lecturer at the Technical University of Dortmund .

The Wöhr office has won several national and international architectural competitions . It works on projects throughout Germany, as well as in Austria , Taiwan and the People's Republic of China . The main focus of the office is on administration and office buildings.
