The Wolseley 3½ hp was the first car that Wolseley brought out in 1898.

The car had a 1-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1296 cm³, valves on the side and water cooling. The engine of the two-seater developed 3.3 bhp (2.4 kW) at 900 rpm.

In 1901 it was replaced by the Wolseley 5 hp with an engine of the same size, but with an output of 5.5 bhp (4 kW) at 750 rpm. submitted. The wheelbase of the car was 1676 mm and it was provided with a 2591 mm long and 1473 mm wide body. The curb weight was 711 kg.

In 1905 the successor Wolseley 6 came out, whose engine had a displacement of 1246 cm³ and 6 bhp (4.4 kW) at 800 / min. performed. The wheelbase was 1905 mm, the weight of the chassis 533 kg.

In the following year the engine had the old displacement of 1296 cm³; the performance remained the same, but was at 1000 / min. reached. The wheelbase shrank back to 1676 mm, the body was 2591 mm long and 1524 mm wide. The weight of the chassis dropped to 431 kg.

This last single-cylinder model had disappeared from the Wolseley model range by 1910 at the latest.
