The World Grand Prix was a major tournament in darts and was organized for the fourth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from October 24th to 28th, 2001 . The venue for the first time was the Citywest Hotel in Dublin .
The defending champion was Phil Taylor . The winner was Alan Warriner , who could win the tournament for the first time.
