The World Grand Prix was a major tournament in darts and was organized for the seventh time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from October 18 to 24, 2004 . The venue was the Citywest Hotel in Dublin for the fourth time .

The defending champion was Phil Taylor . The winner was Colin Lloyd , who won the tournament for the first time.

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in the 1st round was a best of 3 sets . In the final a best of 13 sets . Each leg was played in 501 double-in-double-out mode.

Prize money

A total of £ 100,000 in prize money was awarded, £ 24,000 more than last year. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
