The World Grand Prix was a major tournament in darts and was organized for the fifth time from October 22nd to 27th, 2002 by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). The venue for the second time was the Citywest Hotel in Dublin .
The defending champion was Alan Warriner . The winner was Phil Taylor , who could win the tournament for the fourth time.

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in the 1st round was a best of 3 sets . In the final a best of 13 sets . Each leg was played in 501 double-in-double-out mode.
