Miguel Angelo da Silva Rocha (born November 10, 1994 in Rebordosa ) is a Portuguese football player who plays as a midfielder for the French club OSC Lille .

Career

Xeka was born in Rebordosa ( Paredes ) and until he was 17 he played youth football for three clubs, including Valencia CF from Spain . After returning to his homeland, he began playing as a professional at SC Braga B in the Segunda League. On September 23, 2013, he scored his first goal for Braga in a 3-1 home defeat to SL Benfica B. Between 2014 and 2016 he was loaned to SC Covilhã for two years .

Xeka was appointed to the first team in Braga in October 2016 by coach José Peseiro . He made his Primeira Liga debut later that month in a 1-0 home win over GD Chaves . However, he barely played for the first team when Jorge Simão became the new coach at the end of the year.

On January 31, 2017, Xeka was loaned to Lille OSC in Ligue 1 until June . After the French made use of the 5 million purchase option, the move was finally completed. He played his first league game for Lille on February 4, 2017 against FC Lorient . In the final hours of the 2017 winter transfer window, Xeka was loaned to FCO Dijon . He played there regularly in the starting XI and returned to Lille after half a year. During the 2018/19 season , he eventually became a key player on Lille's team.
