Benjamin André (born August 3, 1990 in Nice ) is a French football player . The midfielder began his professional career with AC Ajaccio , for whom he played for six years. After his club was relegated to Ligue 2 , he moved to the first division club Stade Rennes within France in the summer of 2014 . He has been under contract with Lille OSC since the 2019/20 season .

Career

André started playing football at the Stade Raphaëlois club and joined the AC Ajaccio youth team in 2006 . For the 2008/09 season , the only 17-year-old was promoted to the Ajaccios professional team. He made his debut in the Corsican jersey on matchday four when he was substituted on in the second half of the game against CS Sedan . On the last day of the season, Benjamin André scored his first goal of his professional career. In the 1: 2 defeat against LB Châteauroux , he met in the 30 minute to equalize 1: 1 in the meantime.

After the AC Ajaccio in the 2013/14 season in the Ligue 2 was staying, Benjamin André signed by 187 league appearances in six years a new contract at Ajaccio. Instead, he signed one with Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes . He scored his first goal for his new employer on January 25, 2015 in a 4-1 home defeat by SM Caen . With his club, he won the Coupe de France 2018/19 with a 6-5 win over Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.

After five years at Rennes, Benjamin André signed a four-year contract with league rivals OSC Lille on July 17, 2019 . With the Dogues he was a regular player from the beginning of the 2019/20 season. On October 26th (11th matchday) he scored his first goal for his new club in a 3-0 home win against Girondins Bordeaux . During this season he played 26 league games, in which he got two goals and one assist.
