Yani Gellman (born September 2, 1985 in Miami , Florida ) is an American actor who also has Canadian citizenship.

Life

Yani Gellman, named after Jan Joors, a Canadian writer, was born in Miami to a Canadian father and an Australian mother. But he grew up in Spain and Australia before he came to Toronto via Texas , where he lives today.

Gellman has been in front of the camera since he was 13. He made his television debut in 1998 in a double episode of the Canadian television series Goosebumps . In Children of My Heart , an independent film from 2000, he also appeared in front of the camera for the first time in a feature film. In addition to well-known productions, including Düstere Legenden 2 and Jason X, Yani Gellman has also participated in a number of television series. In 2002 he took on a leading role in the short-lived series Guinevere Jones , which was followed by 31 episodes of the Monster Warriors series between 2006 and 2007 . In 2008 he took on a supporting role in the long-running soap opera Shadow of Passion , in which he played Rafe Torres , a gay lawyer.
