history

The first years

Yashin was founded in 2006 in the Scottish city ​​of Glasgow by school friends Paul Travers ( guitar ) and Andrew McShane ( bass guitar ). Shortly afterwards, other members joined Yashin with Michael Rice ( vocals ), David Beaton ( drums ) and Lewis Millen (guitar).

With their two EPs Pay to Play (2007) and Miles Away But Getting Closer (2008), the group achieved national fame in the hardcore punk scene. In October 2008, singer Rice left the band. In an open rehearsal, the group found two new singers in the American Harry Radford and the Glasgow native Kevin Miles.

In April 2009, Yashin toured together with Madina Lake and The Audition by the UK and Europe before the group in November for work retired on her debut album.

Put Your Hands Where I Can See Them

On 1 February 2010, the group released their debut album Put Your Hands Where I Can See Them , which (by Romesh Dodangoda Funeral for a Friend , Kids in Glass Houses and The Blackout ) in the Long Wave Studios in the Welsh capital Cardiff received and Tema International was published.

In March 2011 Yashin played as the opening act for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus on their England tour. In June, the group performed at the Download Festival and Nova Rock in Austria, as well as a joint appearance with the band Korn . In 2011 Yashin was the opening act for Papa Roach and Black Veil Brides . In 2012 the group toured the UK again as part of The Last One Standing Tour .

We Created a Monster and The Renegades

In early 2012, the group started a campaign to fund the production of their second studio album, which was to be called We Created a Monster , at PledgeMusic . The musicians were able to surpass the intended contribution, whereby the album was realized. The album was released on July 25, 2012 via Triple G Music. From March 9-25, 2012, the group toured the UK excessively.

On May 18, 2015, the group was signed by Sony Music . On the same day the third studio album entitled The Renegades was announced, which was originally supposed to be released in late 2015. In December, however, it was announced that the album's release date would be postponed to February 26, 2016. From October to December 2015 the group toured Europe with Crossfaith , Head PE and Skindred . On August 4, 2016, the group announced its breakup. A planned European tour with Vampires Everywhere! in autumn it was canceled.

The group is already well known in the hardcore punk scene. In addition to appearances with well-known bands such as Lostprophets , Enter Shikari , Gallows , Papa Roach , A Day to Remember and Black Veil Brides , the band was also able to play at well-known outdoor concerts such as the Download Festival , Pukkelpop , SlamDunk Festival and Nova Rock .
