content

The lyrics to Yellow are written in English and translated into German for the color “yellow”. The music and lyrics were co-written by Nathan Duvall, the producer trio Junkx, Gavin Koolman, Luke McDermott and Robin Schulz. Musically, the song moves in the area of house and pop music . The tempo is 122 beats per minute . The song is based on a verse, a chorus and a bridge. The song begins with the verse followed by the chorus . The chorus only consists of the repetitive statement “When everything isn't yellow” ( English for “ When everything isn't yellow ”). After the first chorus, the stanza repeats itself. The chorus follows a second time and a bridge follows the chorus. After the bridge came the third and final chorus. In terms of content, the song is about a crumbling love affair.

"When everything isn't yellow,
will we still smile through broken glass?
And live in falsetto ?
Are we too deep for a second chance?

They say time is a healer.
Well, how do you expect to heal this clock?
And every minute I see her,
how can you turn when you've got this far ?? "

- Verse, original excerpt

“When everything isn't yellow anymore,
will we still smile through broken glass?
And adjust to the voice of our head?
Have we fallen too deep for a second chance?

It is said that time heals all wounds.
Well what do you think the time will bring?
And every minute I see her,
how can you turn around when you've come this far? "
