"Don't be a fool for the city lights,
I know it's cool but it's only light.
Baby with you I can never lie,
don't go chasing all the headlights. "

- Refrain, original excerpt

“Don't let the city lights fool you.
I know it's cool, but it's just lights.
Baby, I can never lie to you,
stop chasing the headlights. "

- Refrain, translation

The song is about the urge to be in the spotlight and want to showcase your skills. The protagonist in the lyrics feels the need to go out into the big wide world. He wants to get applause on the world's largest stages and turn night into day. At the moment he doesn't care that he leaves behind all those who love him.
