Creation and artwork

All This Love was written jointly by Stuart Crichton, Daniel Deimann, Tommy Lee James, the Junkx production team (consisting of: Dennis Bierbrodt, Stefan Dabruck , Jürgen Dohr and Guido Kramer), Jessica Karpov (Harlœ) and Robin Schulz. The production was done through the collaboration of Crichton, Junkx and Schulz. Junkx and Schulz received support from Deimann for the instrumentation in the form of keyboards and the programming. In addition, Junkx's production team was responsible for mixing and engineering the song.

On the cover of the single you can only see Schulz, in front of a night sky, in addition to the artist name and song title. You can see him mostly from the back, looking to the left. His face is kept normal while the rest has been digitally alienated. A pyramid can be seen in the middle of the sky, and an Asian word can be found on the upper right edge.

content

The lyrics to All This Love are in English and translated into German means "All This Love". The music and the text were written and composed jointly by Stuart Crichton, Daniel Deimann, Tommy Lee James, Junkx, Jessica Karpov (Harlœ) and Robin Schulz. Musically, the song moves in the area of deep house , a style of electronic dance music . The tempo is 124 beats per minute .

In terms of content, All This Love deals with the difficult decisions that one has to make in love, which one could later regret. The song is based on two stanzas and a chorus. It begins with the first verse, followed by a pre-chorus and finally the actual refrain with a short post-chorus . This is followed by the second verse, this time directly followed by the chorus without pre-chorus. After the second chorus, the piece ends with the repeating post-chorus, which consists of parts of the chorus. The main vocals of the song come from the American R&B singer Harlœ, Schulz only acts as a DJ on the piece.

"So what are we gonna do with all this love?
And in 12 years time, will we smile when we think about us? (Hey)
Our timing is a mess, but that don't mean that it means less.
And if we have to say goodbye 'cause it's for the best.
What are we gonna do with all this love? (Yeah) "

- Refrain, original excerpt

“So what are we going to do with all this love?
After 12 years past, will we smile when we think of ourselves? (Hey)
Our time management is a mess, but that doesn't mean it means less.
If we have to say goodbye to each other because it's best,
what are we going to do with all this love? (Yeah) "

- Refrain, translation

Music video

A total of two official music videos were released for All This Love . The first video is a lyric video in which only the cover image for the single and, for lyric videos, typically the current song lines can be seen. The lyric video premiered on YouTube on May 3, 2019 - the day the single was released . Warner Music himself described the video as an "intergalactic lyric video" with a "3D grid robin". Mdepict was responsible for creating the video.

The official music video for All This Love was filmed in Bangkok ( Thailand ) and premiered on May 9, 2019. You can see the story of an alleged couple in love. The video begins with the couple in bed in a hotel room, where she wakes up. She (played by Mariska Pretorius) first gets up and looks at her partner before she gets up, gets ready, grabs the keys and leaves the apartment. Pretorius goes purposefully to a small shop. In this there is a slightly opened door from which lightning flashes. From now on only he (played by Yannick Mabille) can be seen and she no longer appears during the video. In the next scene, Mabille wakes up, realizes that Pretorius is gone and starts looking for her. In the evening he gets drunk in a bar and gets into a conflict with two other guests before stumbling home. The next day, after work, he goes on a search again, first of all being jostled by a passer-by before he notices a business card in his pocket . Mabille goes to said address, which leads him to the same store as Pretorius. Mabille also sees the door and goes through it. He meets an old man (played by Somsak Komolbhan) who offers him two pills. Mabille swallows this and begins to pixelate and digitize itself before disappearing completely and building itself up again in digital form against a black background. The video ends with this scene and the note “To be Continued” ( English for “to be continued”). The total length of the video is 3:13 minutes. Directed by Robert Wunsch. To date, both music videos have over 1.3 million views on YouTube (as of May 2019).

Reviews

Manuel Probst from the online magazine Dance-Charts is of the opinion that All This Love could be a success again. The “melancholic deep house number” with its “concise melody” and “mainstream” sounds including Harlœ's “first-class” vocals are ideally suited for airplay . Fans of his would get to hear Schulz's "unmistakable style" with the "necessary" further development. Probst described All This Love as a "hit earwig ".
