Yves-Thibault de Silguy (born June 22, 1948 in Rennes ) is a French politician , businessman and high official .

biography

From 1976 he was in the French Foreign Ministry . From 1981 to 1984 he worked in the EU Commission for Economic Commissioner François-Xavier Ortoli .

From 1995 to 1999 he was European Commissioner for Finance , Economy and Currency . In 1999 the Commission resigned.
