The river rises from the Cedar Swamp in the south of [[Douglas, Massachusetts]], and flows generally southwards to join with Round Top Brook just inside Rhode Island. This confluence forms the [[Nipmuc River]] in [[Burrillville, Rhode Island]], which as part of the [[Branch River (Rhode Island)|Branch River]] watershed eventually flows through [[Woonsocket, Rhode Island|Woonsocket]] and [[Pawtucket, Rhode Island|Pawtucket]] into [[Narragansett Bay]].
The river is formed in [[Douglas, Massachusetts]] by the confluence of Greene and Cedar Swamp brooks. From there, it flows south to [[Burrillville, Rhode Island]] where it converges with Round Top Brook to form the [[Nipmuc River]].
