Skurup Municipality (Skurups kommun) is a municipality in Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the town Skurup.

The present municipality was formed in 1971 when the market town (köping) of Skurup was merged with Rydsgård and Vemmenhög.

  • Nils Holgersson started his trip from Östra Vemmenhög in the southern part of the municipality.
  • Until the 1990s Sweden's southernmost ski slope was located in the municipality.
  • August Strindberg has lived in Skurup Municipality. His chair is exhibited on the castle of Svaneholm.
  • Skurup Municipality is since 2005 considered a part of Greater Malmö by Statistics Sweden.
  • Skurup Municipality belongs to the world elite in pumpkin agriculture. 2005's pumpkin weighed 582 kg.
