Ohnišov is a village and municipality in Rychnov nad Kněžnou District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic.

History

The first written mention of Ohnišov came in the year 1471, when there were about 1,200 inhabitants.

According to "The Places in The World" website this small village now has a population of approximately 490 people and is situates some 131 km away (as the crow fly's) from the country's capital Prague.[1]
