Ödbraunetsrieth is located on State Road 2155 about 3 km east of Moosbach on the slope of the 611 m high abbey wood. The Ödbraunetsrieth stream rises in Ödbraunetsrieth and flows south of Fluröd through the Upper Weiher and flows into the Pfreimd about 5 km further northwest .
