Pfaffenrieth is part of the Moosbach market in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab , Bavaria .

Geographical location

Pfaffenrieth is located about 1.5 km east of Etzgersrieth on a plateau over 600 m high. This plateau descends in the west to the Uchabach, in the north to the Pfreimd and in the east to the Tröbesbach. In the south it rises to the 771 m high ant hill.

history

Pfaffenrieth belonged together with Uchamühle to Etzgersrieth in the 14th century. It became deserted in the 15th century and was later rebuilt. As of March 23, 1913 (Easter) Pfaffenrieth was listed as part of the exposed Etzgersrieth cooperative with four houses and 23 residents. On December 31, 1990, Pfaffenrieth had 11 residents and belonged to the Etzgersrieth branch .
