Saubersrieth was first mentioned in 1255. As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Saubersrieth was listed as part of the Moosbach parish with 18 houses and 94 inhabitants. On December 31, 1990 Saubersrieth had 105 inhabitants and belonged to the Moosbach parish.
