Ragenwies is located on the south-eastern slope of the 625 m high Schertelsberg in the middle of a clearing island, about 6 km south-east of Moosbach.

history

As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Ragenwies was listed as part of the Moosbach parish with 13 houses and 83 inhabitants. In 1985 a chapel dedicated to St. Michael was built in Ragenwies . On December 31, 1990, Ragenwies had 48 residents and belonged to the Moosbach parish.
