Świtały (German Marienfelde ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Damnica ( Hebrondamnitz ) in the Powiat Słupski ( Stolp district ).

Świtały is located northeast of the district town Słupsk ( Stolp ) on a side road that runs from Łojewo ( Lojow ) to Jeziorka ( Gesorke , 1938–45 Kleinwasser ). A street that starts in Dąbrówka ( Damerkow ) also ends in the village . The rail connection is via Damnica ( Hebrondamnitz ), which is nine kilometers away on the PKP state railway line 202 from Stargard to Gdansk .

Today's Świtały and former Marienfelde in the municipality of Lojow - not to be confused with another village of the same name in the former district of Stolp : Marienfelde (Polish: Sławęcino) in the municipality of Neu Damerow (Polish: Nowa Dąbrowa), which no longer exists today - was founded as a Vorwerk zu Lojow (now in Polish: Łojewo) and has been closely linked to that of this community in its history. In 1938, the 785 hectare manor Lojow with the Marienfelde Vorwerk had 627 hectares of arable land, 67 hectares of meadows, 68 hectares of forest, 8 hectares of open land, courtyard and paths as well as a water area of 15 hectares.

As a locality of the municipality Lojow, Marienfelde belonged to the official and registry office district Bewersdorf (Bobrowniki) in the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin of the Prussian province of Pomerania until 1945 .

The place then called Świtały has been Polish since 1945 and is now part of Gmina Damnica in the Powiat Słupski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship (1975 to 1998 Slupsk Voivodeship ). Świtały has the status of a Schulzenamt , which also includes the village of Jeziorka .

Marienfelde was ecclesiastically and today Świtały is connected to Damno ( Dammen ): at that time as the location of the Protestant parish , which belonged to the church district of Stolp-Altstadt in the church province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union , but now as part of the Catholic parish belonging to the Główczyce deanery ( Glowitz ) is incorporated into the Pelplin diocese of the Catholic Church in Poland . On the evangelical side, Świtały is now parish in the Kreuzkirche parish in Słupsk , which belongs to the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Before 1945, the school location of the Marienfeld children was Lojow .
