Zagórzyczki (German Sageritzheide ) is a small village in the north-west of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the rural community Damnica ( Hebrondamnitz ) in the Powiat Słupski ( Stolp district ).

Geographical location

Zagórzyzcki is located 20 kilometers east of the district town of Słupsk ( Stolp ) on a branch line that connects the villages of Zagórzyca ( Sageritz ) and Stara Dąbrowa . The nearest train station Damnica on the railway line from Stargard in Pomerania to Gdansk is three kilometers away.

history

Sageritzheide was closely connected with Sageritz (Polish: Zagórzyca) as a place of this municipality and therefore with its history. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania . After 1945 the village came to Poland and is now part of the Gmina Damnica in the Powiat Słupski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship (1975 to 1998 Stolp Voivodeship ). Even now the small place is connected to the village of Zagórzyca ( Sageritz ), now as part of the Schulzenamt .

church

Before 1945, the population of Sageritzheide was almost exclusively of the Protestant denomination. The place belonged to the parish of Sageritz in the parish of Stolp-Altstadt in the eastern district of the church province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Walter Borchardt and - after his death in Russia - Vicar Annemarie Winter .

Since 1945 the population of the small town Zagórzyczki has been predominantly Catholic . The connection to the former parish has remained. The parish of Zagórzyca is now part of the Główczyce ( Glowitz ) deanery in the Pelplin diocese of the Catholic Church in Poland . Protestant church members living here are now incorporated into the Kreuzkirche parish in Słupsk ( Stolp ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
