Quarters

The 17th arrondissement of Paris , the Arrondissement de Batignolles-Monceaux , is one of the 20 arrondissements of the French capital, Paris .

In this arrondissement you will find bourgeois quarters like in the west of Paris, but also working-class quarters like in the north. This results in a very heterogeneous population, which can be divided schematically into three areas: An area with a high proportion of social housing and a high proportion of immigrants north of Avenue de Clichy , a mixed zone between Avenue de Clichy in the north and Rue de Tocqueville in the south which is particularly popular with urban young couples and is an example of gentrification , and an area bordering Parc Monceau with large Haussmann- style buildings and a very well-off population similar to that in the neighboring 16th arrondissement .
