Empire of China

  • Last year, the Chinese warlord Dong Zhuo lost on the battlefield to the coalition under Yuan Shao . In this critical situation, he decides to move the capital to Chang'an , which is strategically better located. He burns down the capital Luoyang and moves with the imperial court to Chang'an, where he has a fortress-like castle built. To finance his lifestyle and building projects, Dong Zhuo has bronze statues and bells melted down and coins minted, which drives inflation .
  • After the Battle of Jieqiao , Coalition Generals Yuan Shao and Gongsun Zan signed a secret treaty to divide Ji Province that same year. Yuan Shao's troops march in that same year, and the governor Han Fu flees to Zhang Miao , the prefect of Chenliu.
