Events
After the general and warlord Dong Zhuo deposed the Chinese Emperor Liu Bian the previous year and now poisoned him, he appoints himself Prime Minister of the emperor Xian he appointed . He can issue numerous special powers of attorney so that he can, for example, carry a sword at court. His arbitrary and cruel rule makes him many enemies, and in the same year a coalition of generals and warlords from all over the Han Empire is formed against him, led by Yuan Shao . The rivals meet in the battle at Hulao Pass , and Dong Zhuo's general Lü Bu is defeated by coalition general Sun Jian.
