Adalbert Erlebach
Adalbert Erlebach (born March 12, 1876 in Ochsengraben near Hohenelbe , Bohemia , Austria-Hungary ; † March 25, 1945 in Planegg , German Empire ) was an Austrian architect . He was mainly active in Meran , many of his villas in the heritage style are now under monument or ensemble protection.
Life
Erlebach studied at the Reichsgewerbeschule Reichenberg (Bohemia) until 1897 .
He then became an employee of Woldemar Kandler in Dresden and was involved in many of his church buildings. In 1902 he passed the royal Saxon master builder examination in Bautzen . He then became the site manager for the new construction of the Luther Church in Meißen-Triebischtal .
In 1904 Erlebach went into business for himself and married. In the same year he became a teacher at the Roßwein building trade school . Projects followed in Neckarsteinach , Roßwein, Kitzbühel and Hall in Tirol . In 1907 the family moved to Döbeln , where four new buildings were built. In 1908 Erlebach was appointed to the Association of German Architects , Dresden local group.
In 1910 he moved to Merano after receiving a major order from Georg von Ompteda to build the donor's court . In the following 25 years he planned numerous new buildings and conversions in Merano and the surrounding area.
Due to the option in South Tyrol , Erlebach had to leave South Tyrol in 1941 and moved to Planegg.
