Adrian Józef Galbas SAC (born January 26, 1968 in Bytom , Poland ) is a Polish religious and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Ełk .

Life

Adrian Józef Galbas joined the Order of the Pallottines in 1987 and made temporary profession on September 29, 1989 . After studying philosophy and Catholic theology at the Seminary of the SAC in Ołtarzew Galba put on 10 September 1993 in Zakopane perpetual profession from. He received on 7 May 1994 Ołtarzew by the apostolic nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Jozef Kowalczyk , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Adrian Józef Galbas was then parish vicar in the parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Łódź before continuing his studies at the Catholic University of Lublin in 1995 , where he obtained his degree in pastoral theology in 1997 . From 1998 to 2002 Galbas was prefect at the Pallottine Seminary in Ołtarzew. In 2002 he became Provincial Councilor of the Posen Province of Pallottines and Secretary of the Provincial . In addition, Adrian Józef Galbas was pastor of the parish of St. Laurentius in Poznan from 2003 to 2011 as well as confessor at the seminary in Poznan and at the seminary of the Resurrectionists . Since 2011 Galbas was Provincial of the Order of Poznan. It was in 2012 at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw for a doctor of theology in the subject spirituality doctorate .

On 12 December 2019 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Naissus and auxiliary bishop in Ełk. The Bishop of Elk, Jerzy Mazur SVD , gave him on 11 January 2020, the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio , and the Archbishop of Warmia , Józef Górzyński .
