Albert Friedrich Ernst Karl von Schrabisch (born August 1, 1804 in Kreuzburg , † April 16, 1865 in Deutz ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Albert was a son of the Prussian Second Lieutenant of the Upper Silesian Fusilier Brigade Johann Georg Friedrich von Schrabisch (1773-1809) and his wife Helene Johanna Friederike, born von Gordon , widowed von Salisch . His brother Alexander (1813-1858) also became a Prussian officer and made it captain .

Military career

After a visit to the Berlin Cadet House, Schrabisch was transferred to the 11th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army on July 28, 1821 as porter ensign . He was promoted to secondary lieutenant by the end of March 1822, and from October 1830 he was in command for one year as an educator at the cadet house in Berlin. Schrabisch became a battalion adjutant in 1832 and in this capacity was assigned to the 2nd Battalion in the 11th Landwehr Regiment in 1834/38. At the end of March 1840 he was promoted to prime lieutenant and in 1841/42 was again in command of the 11th Landwehr Regiment as a company commander. This was followed by a command as adjutant of the 11th Landwehr Brigade. With the promotion to captain Schrabisch was appointed company commander on December 12, 1844 .

On April 16, 1850, as a major, he was transferred to the adjutantage and command as adjutant at the General Command of VI. Army Corps . From there he came on May 4, 1854 as commander of the Fusilier Battalion in the 19th Infantry Regiment and rose to lieutenant colonel in mid-July 1855 . On July 3, 1858, he was initially assigned to lead the 39th Infantry Regiment and on November 22, 1858, he was promoted to colonel as regimental commander. With the promotion to major general Schrabisch was transferred to the army officers on October 18, 1861 and in December was awarded the Order of the Iron Crown II. Class and the Commander's Cross II. Class of the Order of Merit of Philip the Magnanimous with Swords.

Schrabisch was given command of the 30th Infantry Brigade in Cologne on January 14, 1862, and in this capacity he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves, on the occasion of the festival two years later . Under awarding of the character as Lieutenant General he was placed on February 11, 1865 Board for disposition . He died a short time later on April 16, 1865 in Deutz.

Schrabisch married Ida Elisabeth Amalie Marie von Schickfuß and Neudorff (1820–1866) on June 8, 1843 in Baumgarten . The daughter Hedwig (* 1844) married the captain of the artillery Hugo von der Lochau (* 1835) in 1868 .
