Albrecht von Kalnein

Albrecht von Kalnein (born September 11, 1611 , † April 10, 1683 in Königsberg ) was a Prussian statesman .

Life

Origin and family

Albrecht von Kalnein was a member of the old Prussian noble family von Kalnein , who was raised to the Prussian count status in 1786 . His parents were the heir to Kilgis , Lindenau , Park and Strauben , Caspar von Kalnein and Susanna von Wietmannsdorf . The Prussian Lieutenant General Karl Erhard of Kalnein (1687-1757) was Albrecht's great-nephew, a grandson of his brother Henry, who kurbrandenburgischer district and lieutenant colonel of cavalry was. Albrecht von Kalnein had four sons:

  • Johann Albrecht von Kalnein, Kurbrandenburg Land and Higher Appeal Judge
  • Wolf Heinrich von Kalnein, Danish colonel
  • Georg Friedrich von Kalnein († 1703), Prussian secret and court judge
  • Friedrich Wilhelm von Kalnein, semi-urban forest master

Career

After studying law , Kalnein's Grand Tour had taken him through France , England and Germany . In 1641 he became governor of Rastenburg , in 1645 he was promoted to district administrator and in 1653 to governor of Schaaken . Kalnein came on December 12, 1653 Upper and regimental council in the government and was promoted in 1654 to the Chancellor . In 1655 he became Oberburggraf in the Duchy of Prussia and in 1664 President of the Higher Appeal Court. He was the heir to the Prussian estates Breitlinde , Molsenen, Loschen, Groß- and Klein-Lindenau, and still owned Bahnau mill and a jug in Rosenberg .
