Aleardo Pini

Aleardo Pini (born November 22, 1907 in Biasca ; † February 27, 1958 in Bern , entitled to residency in Biasca) was a Swiss politician ( FDP) .

biography

Aleardo Pini was born on November 22nd in Biasca as the son of the trader Giuseppe Pini and the teacher Caterina née Marcionn. Aleardo Pini studied law in Bern and Lausanne , which he completed in Lausanne in 1932 with the academic degree of Dr. iur. completed. Subsequently, Pini worked as a lawyer and notary in Biasca.

Aleardo Pini was married to Carolina, the daughter of the businessman and first Swiss honorary consul in Venezuela, Massimo Balestra. He was the father of the National Councilor Massimo Pini .

Political career

Aleardo Pini was initially involved in the liberal youth association and, after the party split in 1934, sided with the right-wing group, the so-called Unificati. He then served at the municipal level from 1940 to 1944 as a councilor and from 1952 to 1958 as the mayor of Biasca. In addition, Pini was a cantonal member of the Ticino Grand Council from 1931 to 1958 , of which 1944 was President. In addition, Pini had a seat in the National Council at the federal level from 1942 to 1958 , of which he was President between December 4, 1950 and December 3, 1951. He also chaired the FDP of the Canton of Ticino from 1947 to 1950 and the FDP Switzerland from 1948 to 1954.

In 1954, Pini ran unsuccessfully for the Federal Council . The brilliant speaker Aleardo Pini dealt primarily with school and social problems as well as those of the rural regions.
