Alle gegen Alle - A Tribute to Slime is a tribute album for the German punk band Slime by Sunny Bastards , which was released in 2009. The compilation was indexed in March 2013 by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People (BPjM) .

background

The tribute sampler for slime was created on the initiative of the OHL fan "Kernkraftritter-Kay", who realized the tribute sampler Brothers in Arms - A Tribute to OHL with the Sunny Bastards label back in 2008 . The initiative was supported by the slime guitarist Michael "Elf" Mayer , who can be heard as an acoustic guitarist at Velvetone. The album was initially released in a digipak and in a 4-LP box limited to 500 copies. Then the delivery took place in a normal CD case.

A total of 54 bands or artists took part in the compilation, some of them belong to the Sunny Bastards label. Besides Slime- cover songs are the songs Hey Lutz, we drive to Slime of rock Diskokugel , Parcoure # 1! by Emils as well as a number of rearranged and re-texted songs. Most of the formations come from the punk genre, but the hip-hoppers Ohrbooten and El Gordo , the rock 'n' roll band Velvetone, the metal band Kreator (with the support of Nagel / Muff Potter and Thees Uhlmann ) also took part. on the sampler. Mr. Schwers mixed up on his piece ASTB We don't want bull pigs with Another Brick in the Wall . Enclosed with the CD is a multi-page booklet with information about the band and statements from the musicians involved.

The CD was released as a benefit album. Part of the proceeds went to Helfer ohne Grenzen (Heidelberg) and Helfen-ohne-Grenzen eV

indexing

As part of an extensive indexing decision by the Federal Inspectorate for Media Harmful to Young People, several slime titles, including We don't want bull pigs and Police SA-SS, were indexed in different versions. In addition to this sampler, the Totenmond recordings and the Chaostage soundtrack were also affected . Responsible for the indexing in this case were the titles of Mr. Schwers, the Disturbers ( ACAB ), Brigade S. with their version of bull pigs as well as acted out piece Streetfight . The album was entered on List B (prohibited from distribution).

criticism

On the whole, the sampler was received favorably in the punk scene. Joachim Hiller from Ox-Fanzine writes:

"Anyway, the pieces are better if you have tackled the original with a new musical approach, see for example" Yankees out "in the loungy HULA PUNK version. (...) In addition, there is a thick booklet in which many of the participants let go of a short statement about their enthusiasm for SLIME, and so "All against all" has become a really successful monument to heroes. "
