Alois Konstantin Fürst zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg (born December 16, 1941 in Würzburg ) is a German lawyer , manager and head of the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg family.

The noble family of Löwenstein-Wertheim goes back to the Palatinate Elector Friedrich I (1425–1476) and his son Ludwig , who was not entitled to inheritance in the Electoral Palatinate , who founded the independent Wittelsbach branch of the later Prince Count of Löwenstein.
Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein comes from the marriage of Karl zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg (1904–1990) and his wife Carolina dei Conti Rignon (1904–1975) and is the fifth of seven siblings. Today he lives in Kleinheubach and has been married to Anastasia, b. Princess of Prussia, daughter of the imperial grandson Hubertus of Prussia . The marriage had four children. His son Carl Friedrich Prinz zu Löwenstein died on April 24, 2010 in an accident at the VLN endurance championship Nürburgring .
A nephew is the ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Germany, Prince Stefan von und zu Liechtenstein .
Life
Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein grew up with his sisters in Bronnbach and attended high school in Miltenberg . He studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg , then worked for a bank in the USA and later for Gulf Oil in Pittsburgh, among others . In Frankfurt am Main and Munich he held leading positions for the private bank Merck Finck & Co and the LGT Bank of the Princely House of Liechtenstein . Until 2005 he was managing director of "Federated Asset Management GmbH" in Frankfurt am Main.
Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein was the owner and administrator of the Princely Löwenstein companies for forestry, agriculture and viticulture. Since the 15th century the family has been cultivating approx. 7000 hectares of forest areas in the Spessart and Odenwald , for over 300 years approx. 50 hectares of vineyards in the Main Triangle in Franconia , in Tauberfranken in Baden and in Hallgarten in the Rheingau , as well as wineries in the Hungarian Veresek, Betsek and Király.
He also maintains the Löwenstein Castle in Kleinheubach, the terraces of the Kallmuth vineyard in Homburg am Main and the chapel on the Margarethenhof near Neustadt am Main .
Memberships and honorary positions
Löwenstein is committed to various social projects in the Holy Land . In 1971 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in the order on December 4, 1971 in the Frankfurt Cathedral by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He is a Grand Cross Knight of the Papal Laity Order and was Chief Commander of the Rhine-Main Province of the Papal Knight Order of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
He is head of the Aschaffenburg district group of the Association of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU) and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Forum of German Catholics , whose annual congresses, Joy in Faith, he has chaired since 2001. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pontifical Foundation Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice (CAPP) and has been a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece (Austria) since 1996 .
He is also since 1965 Old Mr. WK St. V. Unitas Hetania the Association of Scientific Catholic student associations Unitas . He is a member of the Ludwig Windthorst Board of Trustees, co-founder of the MIP Management Institute of Paris and Colonel of the Reserve in the Army. He is also committed to the integration of soldiers from the German Armed Forces and the US armed forces.
