Alsberg is a district of Bad Soden-Salmünster in the Main-Kinzig district in East Hesse .

Geographical location

Alsberg is located on a ridge of the Spessart . Most of the village is completely surrounded by a narrow strip of the Spessart estate and thus forms an exclave of the city of Bad Soden-Salmünster, only a smaller, uninhabited part in the east borders on Seidenroth .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1313 and belonged to the von Hutten family . In 1540 the place became Electoral Mainz, which it remained until 1803 when the place became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria . In 1867 the place finally fell to Hesse and there to the district of Gelnhausen .

As part of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Alsberg was incorporated into the former town of Salmünster in the district of Schlüchtern on January 1, 1970 . The city Salmuenster was on 1 July 1974 with the town of Bad Sooden and the community Mernes powerful state law to the new town of Bad Orb together . A local district with a local advisory council and a local mayor was set up for Alsberg .

The state road 3179, there part of the Spessart-Höhenstraße , crosses the place and connects it to Seidenroth and the Spessart. From the direction of Salmünster the place can be reached via the county road 888.
