American Comedy Award

The American Comedy Awards were initially awarded annually between 1987 and 2001 for special merits in the field of comedy . The last award ceremony was hosted by the US television station Comedy Central , but the station then decided to launch its own event. However, this so-called Commie Award was discontinued after only one ceremony in 2002.

NBC has been running the event again since 2014 .
