Amphoe Na Bon ( Thai : อำเภอ นาบอน ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province . The province of Nakhon Si Thammarat is located in the southern region of Thailand , about 780 km south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula to the Gulf of Thailand .

The province of Nakhon Si Thammarat is located about 780 kilometers south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): Chawang District , Chang Klang , Thung Song, and Thung Yai . All Amphoe are in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

The National Park Namtok Yong is on the border to the district Thung Song. It protects the forested hills of the Nakhon-Si-Thammarat mountain range with numerous small and large waterfalls.

history

Na Bon was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on June 9, 1975 by separating the two tambon Na Bon and Thung Song from the Thung Song district . On July 13, 1981, Na Bon was promoted to Amphoe.

Symbols

The motto of the district is something like: Khlong Chang waterfall, good quality rubber and fertile land. Take part in the Pit Krit festival. (Thai: น้ำตก คลอง จัง ยาง ตัง พันธุ์ ดี พื้นที่ อุดม ชม งาน ปิด กรีด )

There is a national park in Amphoe Na Bon :

  • Namtok Yong National Park ( อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตก โยง ) with around twelve waterfalls and spectacular viewpoints, such as the 1350 meter high Yod Khao Men ( ยอด เขา เหม น )

Local administration

Na Bon ( เทศบาล ตำบล นาบอน ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district, it consists of parts of Tambon Na Bon.

There are also three “tambon administration organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) for the tambon or the parts of tambon in the county that do not belong to any town.
