Amphoe Phra Phrom ( Thai : อำเภอ พระ พรหม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the center of the Nakhon Si Thammarat province . The province of Nakhon Si Thammarat is located in the southern region of Thailand , about 780 km south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula to the Gulf of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the north): the Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat , Chaloem Phra Kiat , Ron Phibun and Lan Saka . All Amphoe are in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

history

Phra Phrom was founded on April 30, 1994, initially as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) by separating four tambon from the Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat district . On October 11, 1997, Phra Phrom was promoted to Amphoe.

There is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Na San ( เทศบาล ตำบล นา สาร ) consists of the whole tambon Na San.

There are also three “tambon administration organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
