Amphoe Phrom Khiri ( Thai : อำเภอ พรหมคีรี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat . The Nakhon Si Thammarat Province is located in the east of the southern region of Thailand .

The province of Nakhon Si Thammarat is located about 780 kilometers south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the north): the Amphoe Nopphitam , Tha Sala , Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat , Lan Saka and Phipun . All Amphoe are in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

history

Phrom Khiri was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on August 26, 1974 , when the three tambon Phrom Lok, Ban Ko and In Khiri were separated from the Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat . On July 13, 1981, Phrom Khiri was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

There are two small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the county:

  • Thon Hong ( เทศบาล ตำบล ทอน หงส์ ) consists of parts of the Tambon Thon Hong,
  • Phrommalok ( เทศบาล ตำบล พรหม โลก ) consists of parts of the Tambon Phrommalok and Ban Ko,
  • Phrom Khiri ( เทศบาล ตำบล พรหมคีรี ) consists of further parts of the Tambon Phrommalok.

There are also four "Tambon Administration Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) for the Tambon or the parts of Tambon in the county that do not belong to any town.
