Office structure

The Berleburg office was an office in the former Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It administered until December 31, 1974 an area with 28 independent municipalities .

The office was formed in 1932 from the merger of the Arfeld, Berghausen and Girkhausen offices created in 1845. On January 1, 1975, the Berleburg office was dissolved under the Sauerland / Paderborn law . The communities Birkelbach , Birkefehl , Balde and Womelsdorf went to the new community Erndtebrück and the communities Neuastenberg , Langewiese and Mollseifen went to the Hochsauerlandkreis to the city of Winterberg . The remaining municipalities of the office were merged with the non-office city of Berleburg to form the new city of Bad Berleburg .
