Anastasija Grigoryeva
Anastasija Grigorjeva (born May 12, 1990 in Daugavpils ) is a Russian-born Latvian wrestler . In 2010 she became European champion in the weight class up to 55 kg body weight.
Career
Anastasija Grigorjeva started wrestling in 2004. She is a member of the sports club SB BJSS Daugavpils . From 2004 she was or is trained by Lyubow Kopilowa and since 2007 by Sergejs Kursitis. She is a student. At a height of 1.70 meters, she initially started in the weight class up to 59 kg, but trained in the weight class up to 55 kg in many competitions. Since 2012 it has started in the weight class up to 63 kg.
Since 2006, Anastasija Grigorjeva started very successfully in the junior division at many international championships, although she only finished 15th and last place in her weight class when she first participated in such a championship, the European Junior Championship (Cadets) in 2006. As early as 2007 it was in Warsaw Vice-European Junior Champion (Cadets) kg in weight class to 56 behind Maria Gurowa from Russia . In 2008 she even became Junior European Champion in the weight class up to 55 kg in Košice . In 2009 she took second place in the weight class up to 55 kg both at the European Junior Championships in Tbilisi and at the World Junior Championships in Ankara . In Tbilisi she stayed behind Maria Gurowa and in Ankara behind Julia Blahinja from Ukraine . In 2010 she came in 3rd place at the Junior European Championships in Samokow / Bulgaria behind Julia Blahinja and Hafize Sahin from Turkey . She ended her junior years as badly as she began, namely with a 15th place at the Junior World Championships 2010 in Budapest , because there she lost her first fight against Katarzyna Krawczyk from Poland.
Even during her junior years, Anastasija Grigorjeva started in the women's competition at international championships. In 2010 she achieved a great success, because she won the European Championships in Baku in the weight class up to 55 kg with victories over Agata Pietrzyk , Poland , Katerina Dombrowska, Azerbaijan , Delek Atakol, Turkey and over the former world and European champion Natalja Golz from Russia, who she defeated with 2: 1 rounds and 8: 6 points after a hard fight, the title.
She achieved another great success at the 2012 European Championships in Belgrade , where she finished second in the weight class up to 59 kg behind Hanna Wassylenko from the Ukraine, but ahead of Sona Ahmadli from Azerbaijan and Ludmila Cristea from Moldova .
In April 2012 Anastasija Grigorjeva tried to qualify for the Olympic Games in London in the weight class up to 55 kg in Helsinki . Weakened by the training she did not succeed with a 5th place. Then she made another attempt in Helsinki in May 2012 to qualify in the weight class up to 63 kg. She succeeded with a 2nd place behind Monika Ewa Michalik from Poland , in front of Agoro Papavasiliou , Greece and Aline Focken from Germany . It was therefore at the start of the Olympic Games in London. In London she won her first fight against Elena Piroschkowa, United States, but then lost her next fight against Sorondsonboldyn Battsetseg from Mongolia. Since this did not reach the final, she was eliminated and came in 9th place.
In 2013 and 2014 she was voted Latvian Sportswoman of the Year .
