Angelika Sedlmeier (born November 16, 1964 in Munich ) is a German actress and cabaret artist .

Education and theater

Angelika Sedlmeier completed her acting training from 1983 to 1985 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz , from which she graduated with a diploma and the academic degree Magister Artium . Sedlmeier has been working as a freelance actress since 1994.

Sedlmeier had as a theater actress various fixed and guest appearances, including at the City Theater Regensburg , at the City Theater of Augsburg , at the Theater an der Rott (1999) and at the State Theater Schwerin (1998/99 season). At the Städtische Bühnen Regensburg, where she was a permanent member of the ensemble for several seasons from 1985 to 1994, she appeared as a character and musical actress . In the season 1987/88 she took over the role of Columbia in the musical The Rocky Horror Show with "full sex appeal" . Her other stage roles in Regensburg included the puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream , the maid Maria in Was ihr wollt , Kristin in Miss Julie and Olga in Three Sisters .

From 2004 to 2007 she was engaged as an actress at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich . There she played Yvette in the operetta Der Opernball from 2006 to 2008 . In 2005 she appeared at the Stadttheater St. Gallen as Farmer Armgard in Wilhelm Tell .

With a permanent guest contract Angelika Sedlmeier was engaged at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt from the 2007/08 season until the end of the 2012/13 season . She entered there in the 2007 season as Umah in the ghetto of Joshua Sobol on. In the 2010/11 season, she took over the role of Edith in the comedy there Witty comedy by Noël Coward . In the 2011/12 season she was seen as Mrs. Riolleau at Cornelia Köndgen's side in Julien Green's play south and as Mrs. Brigitte in Kleist's Der zerbrochne Krug . In the 2012/13 season she took on the role of President of the Jungfrauenverein, Miss Weghalter, in the operetta Im Weißen Rößl at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz . Since the 2017/18 season she has been a regular guest there as a "boyish" bar owner Shirley in the German-language premiere of the musical Priscilla - Queen of the Desert (premiere December 2017), as daughter-in-law Monika Steinhauser in the premiere of the musical Pumuckl (premiere April 2018) , a commission from Franz Wittenbrink , and again as Miss Weghalter in the Weisses Rössl .

In addition to her acting roles, she appears with various solo programs and readings in which she interprets tavern songs , Bavarian couplets , Gstanzln and chansons, such as in her solo programs Die Wirtsdirn von Haslbach , Der Hirnpecker and with the crime readings with chansons Das Mordsmenue . Since the 1990s, she has mostly played minor roles in feature films, television films and television series. In addition to Franka Potente , she played the role of Frau Freisinger in the medical thriller Anatomie (2000) by Stefan Ruzowitzky . From 2004 to 2006 she had a continuous supporting role in the television series Zwei am Großer See as the "capable" waitress Fanny. She had other television roles in the television series Derrick , gynecologist Dr. Markus Merthin , Löwengrube , unwilling father (at Christian Quadflieg's side ) and Hubert and Staller .

In the ARD series München 7 she was directed by Franz Xaver Bogner as Mrs. Strassgüttl, the secretary of the police chief. In the television film Eine Sommerliebe zu threes , which premiered in September 2016, she was seen, alongside Paula Kalenberg and Irm Hermann , in the small role of the buxom Dirndl customer Ms. Brechtschneider. In the ZDF television series Unter Verdacht (2016, episode: Betongold ), she was seen as a pension landlady; in the movie Männertag (2016) with Milan Peschel and Tom Beck she also played the role of landlady. In the movie: Welcome to the Hartmanns (2017) she was the security officer Petra. From 2017 to 2018 she was seen in a guest role as cook Hanni in the BR series Dahoam is Dahoam . She had a guest role in 2019 as Ms. Mosbach in the TV series Lindenstrasse . Since 2019 she has played the butcher and inn owner Martha Höflinger in the ARD television series Racko - A dog for all occasions .

She also works as a freelance guest lecturer for acting and cameraacting for various institutions.

Teaching activities

From 2008 to 2014 Sedlmeier was a lecturer for theater practice and stage repertoire at the Academy for Performing Arts in Ulm . From 2012 to 2017 she was an acting lecturer at the Neue Münchner Schauspielschule in Munich, from 2014 to May 2017 she was also deputy headmaster under the direction of Vincent Kraupner . Since 2014 she has been a guest lecturer for role studies and moderation at the "dma media academy münchen" in Grünwald .
