The Angersdorfer ponds are two different sized ponds in the southwest of the urban area of Halle (Saale) between Angersdorf and Halle-Neustadt .
They were created in the remaining holes in three former clay pits, which were operated until 1925/1926 and were filled with rising groundwater and rainwater. The Great Angersdorfer Pond has an area of approx. 6 ha and a maximum water depth of 6 meters. It is used as an outdoor pool. The water is slightly salty. The pond, which is 3 hectares smaller, has a similar depth and has the status of an area natural monument .
