Anita Fetz (born March 19, 1957 in Basel ; resident in Basel, Domat / Ems and Gelterkinden ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

After graduating from the Münchenstein high school, Fetz studied history at the Universities of Basel and Berlin ( licentiate 1983) and works as an independent management consultant. As a member of the Progressive Organizations of Switzerland , she was a member of the Grand Council of Basel-Stadt from 1984 to 1989 and of the National Council from mid-1985 to the end of 1989 . In 1990 she was a co-founder and until 1997 a member of the Board of Directors of Alternative Bank Switzerland . In 1995 she joined the SP and was again a member of the Grand Council from 1997 to 2004 and again a member of the National Council from the 1999 to 2003 elections. From the 2003 to 2019 elections , she was a Councilor of States for the Canton of Basel-Stadt. In February 2012 , Fetz was elected together with Roger Nordmann as Vice President of the SP parliamentary group in the Federal Assembly. At the end of the 50th legislative period , she resigned from her political offices.
