Anke Eymer

Anke Eymer b. Kalinka (born April 12, 1949 in Fiefbergen ) is a former German politician ( CDU ). She was a member of the German Bundestag from 1990 to 2009 .

Life and work

After graduating from high school , Anke Eymer studied at the University of Education in Kiel , which she completed in 1972 with the first state examination for teaching at primary and secondary schools . She then worked as a teacher and was head of the Bugenhagen School in Lübeck from 1987 to 1990 as principal .

Anke Eymer has been married to Ekkehart Eymer since 1973 and has one son. The politician Werner Kalinka is her brother.

Political party

Eymer joined the Junge Union in 1970 and the CDU in 1972. She was chairman of the Lübeck district association of the women's union and is now honorary chairman . In addition, she was deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association in Lübeck from 1990 to 2004.

MPs

As a member of the German Bundestag , she was secretary, member of the Committee on Women and Youth, the Committee on Family and Seniors and later a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee , rapporteur for international women's policy , international cultural policy and for the African countries south of the Sahara .

She was a member of the delegation of the German Bundestag for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Assembly of the WEU . In addition, she was a member of the German Committee for UNICEF as part of her mandate .

Anke Eymer always entered the Bundestag via the Schleswig-Holstein state list . In the 2009 federal election she received 30.3 percent of the vote and was defeated by the SPD candidate Gabriele Hiller-Ohm . On the state list, it was not sufficiently secured with list position 6.

Social offices

Anke Eymer was Vice President of the German-Israeli Society and Treasurer of the Jerusalem Foundation Germany .
