During his junior years between 2009 and 2011, Bibeau initially played at a low level in his home province of Québec at the Estacades de Trois-Rivières . Via the entry draft of the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec , the goalkeeper came to the Lewiston MAINEiacs at the beginning of the 2010/11 season , before returning to Trois-Rivières after three missions for his second year. At the beginning of the 2011/12 season , Bibeau found himself in the squad of the PEI Rocket . This had received him in the run-up to the season in a transfer from the Olympiques de Gatineau , which in turn had received the rights to Bibeau due to the dissolution of Lewistons.

At the Rocket, the goalkeeper spent two seasons before he moved with the team to Charlottetown for the 2013/14 season and from then on stood between the posts for the Charlottetown Islanders . There Bibeau played a good last year in the junior camp and was transferred to the title contender Foreurs de Val-d'Or at the end of December 2013 . He led this in the play-offs , at the end of which he was awarded the Trophée Guy Lafleur as Most Valuable Player , to win the Coupe du Président . In the subsequent Memorial Cup , which the Foreurs finished in third place, the goalkeeper found himself in the all-star team of the traditional tournament and was also awarded the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as the best player in his position.

After he had already been selected in the sixth round in the sixth round of the Toronto Maple Leafs from the National Hockey League in the previous summer in the NHL Entry Draft 2013 , they signed him in June 2014 and became part of the Toronto Marlies farm team in the American Hockey League used. During the 2016/17 season , Bibeau made his debut for the Maple Leafs in the NHL. After the season, the Canadian moved as a free agent to the San Jose Sharks , where he and Troy Grosenick formed the goalkeeper team in the AHL farm team San Jose Barracuda . In the following game year he was placed at his side by the Czech Josef Kořenář , who replaced him as a regular over the course of the season. In September 2019, shortly before the start of the 2019/20 season , he was transferred to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Nicolas Meloche , where he was scheduled for the Colorado Eagles farm team .
