Arno Ortmair

Arno Ortmair is a German film producer . With his production company Film-Line Productions GmbH he develops and produces television and cinema films. His main areas of activity include international co-productions and film financing.

Life

At the beginning of his career, Arno Ortmair worked as a line producer for various American studios as well as for European production companies. During this time, films such as Moscow on the Hudson ( Robin Williams ), Little Drummer Girl ( Diane Keaton ), The Holcroft Covennant ( Michael Caine ), The Train ( Ben Kingsley ) and James Bond : The Living Daylights ( Timothy Dalton ) were made. In 1984 Ortmair founded his production company Film-Line Productions GmbH . Film-Line has its headquarters in Munich's Bavaria Studios with branches in Berlin and Vienna and an acquisition representative in Los Angeles. In 1995 he also founded the Austrian film production company Eclypse Filmpartners in Vienna.

Ortmair was chairman of the executive board of the producers ' association from 2010 to 2017 and is currently a member of its board of trustees. Ortmair is also a member of the Producers' Association Film Austria , a member of the FFA's award committee , a deputy member of the FFA's administrative board, a member of the SPIO presidium , a member of the advisory board of German Films and the Verwertungsgesellschaft Film (VGF), as well as a voting representative of the VDFP in the FIAPF and the AGICOA . He is also a member of the German Film Academy .
