Aylin Esener

Aylin Esener (born August 24, 1975 in Buxtehude ) is a German actress .

Life

Aylin Esener is of German-Turkish descent. Her Turkish father is an architect who came to Heidelberg to study ; her mother is a German draftsman . Esener grew up almost exclusively speaking German . She has German citizenship . She grew up in Stade , where she also attended school.

After finishing school, she completed an acting training at the University of Film and Television Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1996 to 2000 . After that, she mainly worked as a theater actress . She had permanent engagements and guest contracts at the Stadttheater Aachen (2000–2003), at the Deutsches Theater Berlin (2003–2009; first as a permanent member of the ensemble, later as a guest) and at the Nationaltheater Mannheim (2006). Esener played a wide repertoire on the theater stage , which included plays by William Shakespeare , the German-speaking authors of the Classical and Romantic periods , but also plays from the turn of the century, modern and contemporary theater.

Her stage roles included: Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream (2001, Theater Aachen), Nina in Die Möwe (2001/2002, Theater Aachen), the title role in Miss Sara Sampson (2003, Theater Aachen; director: Lydia Bunk), the Title role in Emilia Galotti (2003, Theater Aachen), Kunigunde in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (2003, Deutsches Theater Berlin), Christine in Liebelei (2004, Deutsches Theater Berlin Kammerspiele), Sister Monika in Die Physiker (2005, Deutsches Theater Berlin with Jutta Wachowiak ; directed by András Fricsay ), Mariane in Tartuffe (2005, Deutsches Theater Berlin), Lady Gwendolen Fairfex in Bunbury (2006, Deutsches Theater Berlin), Didesldei in a stage version of Alice in Wonderland (2009, Deutsches Theater Berlin; adaptation and direction : Roland Schimmelpfennig ) and Marie in Woyzeck (2006, Nationaltheater Mannheim; director: Anders Paulin).

Since 2007 Esener has been on tour several times with her solo evening Lust for something different - Canım başka bir şey istiyor (world premiere: Theater Aachen 2007); She made guest appearances in Hamburg , Ludwigshafen am Rhein , Karlsruhe , Bremen and at the Berlin Ballhaus Naunynstrasse theater, among others .

Esener has also played a few television and film roles since 1998. The focus of her artistic activity, however, is theater work. She has had leading and supporting roles in several shorts and college films . She had leading episode roles in the ARD television series St. Angela and Powder Park (suddenly grown up!) . In the biopic Giacomo Puccini - The Dark Side of the Moon about the life of the Italian opera composer Giacomo Puccini , which was first broadcast on 3sat's cultural program in 2008 , she embodied the role of the German soprano Rose Ader , for whose voice Puccini played the role of the slave Liù in his Turandot's last opera .

In 2011 she played a leading role in the ZDF -Telenovela Lena - love of my life . She played the role of the clever and tough lawyer Katharina Jung.

Esener also worked as an advertising actress . She shot commercials , including for T-Com and Persil Cold Color .

Esener also works as a speaker for radio plays and audio books . In 2007 she took on the role of narrator in the radio play Summer, Sun, First Love from the Freche Mädchen radio play series.

Esener lives in Berlin .
