The Böhner Bach , also called Kißbach , is a 6.3 km long, left and northern tributary of the Eder in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .

The Böhner Bach rises on the western roof of the Old Forest (natural area 340.14), the southern part of the Waldecker Forest . Its source is east of the Numbersberg ( 399.4  m ), 1.25 km north of the Edertal district of Böhne at about 335  m above sea level. NHN .

The stream , which flows a little to the southwest outside the Habichtswald Nature Park , runs in a predominantly southern direction. It leaves the old forest and flows in the Netzehügelland east along the county road  26 ( Netze –Böhne– Bergheim ). He passes the village of Böhne in the south-east of the Sengelsberg and then the Obermühle and Untermühle.

Finally, the Böhner Bach flows through the village of Bergheim, located in the Wega Ederaue (part of the municipality of Edertal), and after passing the Bergheim Castle and its castle park near the southern edge of the village near the Eder river kilometer 40.3 at an altitude of about 191  m in the Eder coming from the west to flow . Immediately to the west of its confluence is the Eder Bridge of the former Ederseebahn ( Korbach - Bad Wildungen ). To the south opposite on the other bank of the Eder lies the Edertal district of Giflitz , and about 100 m to the west and above the bridge the Wesebach, coming from the south-west, flows into the Eder.

Near the source, the Böhner Bach is accompanied by the Habichtswaldsteig and on the high elevations to the east of the brook, which lead to the valley of the Mölcherbach , by the Diemel-Eder-Weg . The excursion destinations in the area include the Sengelsberg and the nearby Edersee .
