Church and village community center

In the center of the village is the small village church, which is mentioned in a document in 1377 and was extended to the east in its early days. After the reformer Johann Hefentreger, who came from Fritzlar and was expelled from there, first preached God's word according to Luther's teachings in Waldeck on June 17, 1526 and then the Reformation was introduced in the county of Waldeck , Böhne also became Protestant. The church still owns an old sacrament and baptismal device, the Vasa Sacra (sacred implements) from the 17th century. The large crucifix , probably from the same century, with a distinctly shaped Jesus figure, takes up a lot of space in the church.

There is a village community center in Böhne .
