Buhlen is one of the smallest districts of the community Edertal in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in northern Hesse ( Germany ).

location

Buhlen is located southeast below Waldeck in the valley of the Netze, a tributary of the Eder . The federal highway 485 runs through the village .

history

In 1906 reindeer antlers were found during the construction of the B 485 near the village . During excavations in the 1960s, a Middle Paleolithic settlement site of the Neanderthals was found in the valley of the Netze , the so-called Buhlen hunting station .
