The castle lovers is an Outbound castle in paramour at 237  m above sea level. NN , a district of the municipality of Edertal in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .

history

Buhlen was first mentioned as Buchloha in a deed of donation to the Fulda Monastery by Count Gozmar as early as 850 . The next mentions can only be found from 1308/10.

1333 Graf probably built in Henry IV. Of Waldeck one with moats surrounding bower in lovers. According to today's knowledge, it was located on the Freihof an der Netze mentioned in 1443 . In 1477 , Count Heinrich VIII von Waldeck, guardian and regent for Philip II , pledged the small castle and the village to Hans von Waldenstein. In 1556 the Lords of Rhena owned the castle and village of Buhlen. The castle was completely destroyed in the Thirty Years' War . While the village was later rebuilt, the bower remained in ruins . The remaining remains were used as building material.
